The thermistor is a part which is used to alter the resistance of the circuit depending on the temperature. There are two types of thermistors these are known as PTC or NTC, it is important to use the correct thermistor as these are designed to be used by the PCB to detemine if more heat is required in the system depending on the resistance in the circuit .
